Mashaal Sohail is an Associate Professor in Computational Genomics at the Center for Genomic Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She received her bachelors from MIT, her PhD in Systems Biology and her AM in History of Science, both from Harvard University in 2018. She did trans-national post-doctoral training at the University of Chicago and at Langebio-Cinvestav. Her lab focuses on population and complex trait genomics, with an interest in underserved groups from Mexico and Pakistan. Specifically, we are interested in the impact of dynamic genetic structure, selection and environment on human complex trait variation.
